The origin of our Mission in Brazil and in the USA is in the fire of the revival that swept the world around 1900, at the beginning of the 20th century, especially in North America. The participants of this revival were filled with the Spirit of God in the same way as the disciples and followers of Jesus during the Jewish Feast of Pentecost at the beginning of the Early Church, as written in Acts 2. Thus, they were called "Pentecostals";

Exactly like the believers who were in the Upper Room, the precursors of the 20th Century revival spoke in languages other than their original ones when they received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Other supernatural manifestations such as prophecy, interpretation of tongues, configuration, and healings also took place.
